Out & About : Grand Launch of Global Milbon’s 360° Beautiful Hair Signature Line

If you recall, I blogged about my experience as one of the first few lucky ones to try out the Global Milbon's new Smooth Hair Treatment. This treatment was a different than those hair treatments I have done previously. I love how I could see the results of the treatment on my hair immediately after it. Additionally, the treatment can be customised to suit the various different hair types. From my experience, there are not a lot of hair treatments which is suited for curly, frizzy hair type like mine.

So, I was very impressed and amazed with the Global Milbon's new Smooth Hair Treatment, but when I first tried it, it wasn’t launched yet. Only after the launch, would the treatment be available at salons. If you haven’t read my post on the hair treatment yet, do click on the link to read it. Read it here >> http://www.carmenhong.com/2016/08/review-360-beautiful-hair-with-global-milbon-smooth-hair-treatment.html.

Fast forward to a couple of weeks back, Global Milbon have launched their 360° Beautiful Hair Signature Line which consists of both the treatment and also, the home care products. The launch was a very exclusive event held at Grand Hyatt Hotel, whereby attendees were presented with the full range of the Global Milbon Beautiful Hair Signature Line. The line includes three different range which is Smooth, Moisture and Repair. Let me briefly summarize what each range consists of.

Smooth

This range is suitable for ladies who are concerned over the texture of their hair, as it instantly detangles and improves the feel of the hair which gives the hair a soft, silky-smooth texture. The range include Smoothing Shampoo, Smoothing Treatment and Luminous Bodifying Oil. For both the Smoothing Treatment and Luminous Bodifying Oil, they are available in individual formulas which are specifically designed for fine, medium and coarse hair. This range have a fresh, floral scent for the products.

Moisture

This range is suitable for ladies who have dull, dry and porous hair, as it reverses the damage caused by repeated colour service by infusing moisture and ensuring longer lasting, vibrant colour. The range include Replenishing Shampoo, Replenishing Treatment and Weightless Replenishing Mist. This range have a fruity, aqueous scent for the products.

Repair

This range is suitable for ladies who have severely damaged and over-processed hair, as it restores hair to look, feel and behave as if it had never been damaged in the first place, while enhancing the hair appearance during styling sessions. The range include Leave in Treatment (Milk) and Restorative Blowout Primer, where they have a warm, sweet scent. The Restorative Blowout Primer has two type, one for fine hair which boosts elasticity and coarse hair which enhances softness.

That is pretty much a low down of Global Milbon 360° Beautiful Hair Signature Line. If you are intrigued and would like to know further, you can actually head to the salons below to purchase the products as well, to try the new deep-conditioning treatment along with the in-salon consultation.

On that night, I was also invited to share about my experience since Global Milbon's new Smooth Hair Treatment already. I haven't spoken publicly since my college days, and I was only informed of it hours before the event. Luckily, it went well for me. Here's a picture of me during the sharing session below.

And here are the rest of the pictures from the Grand Launch of Global Milbon’s 360° Beautiful Hair Signature Line,  some of the pictures are taken by the official photographer (those without my watermark). Those with my water mark are taken by yours truly.

I loved how cosy the event was, and it was such a personal feel to it too. For this event, there was black and white theme, so I decided to wear a long white lace dress. This have been in my wardrobe for the longest time, I'm glad I finally have an occasion to wear it to.

If you noticed, my hair have been styled differently from my usual curly hair do.. which was actually done by Emily from Number76's Midvalley branch. All my life, I didn't think my hair was capable of this styling. Please get your hair done there by her, she's super talented! Her style is more of the edgy, rock type too. <3

Congratulations once again, Milbon for the launch of Global Milbon’s 360° Beautiful Hair Signature Line. Thank you for inviting me over and for the collaboration!

Till next time,
xoxo

Out & About : Sally Hansen’s Mother's Day Spring Tea & Pampering Party

About a week ago, Sally Hansen organised a pleasant tea party to pamper the ladies, along with their mothers in conjunction with the upcoming Mother’s Day celebration. When I got the invitation to attend, I was happy that I’ll be able to spend some mother-daughter time bonding over one of my very first love which is manicure and nail polishes. Do click on the link here to see some of very early work in my days of blogging >> [ Manicures ] . Boy, do I miss doing these beautiful nail swatches and designs.

Anyway, back to the Sally Hansen’s Mother's Day Spring Tea & Pampering Party. At the party, we were treated to manicure session using Sally Hansen’s latest product range called the “Complete Salon Manicure Spring Pull & Plug Collection” . This Complete Salon Manicure range is basically nail polishes designed to cater for your own home manicure, all in just one bottle. Just one bottle, because this polish has the following 7 benefits; base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, salon colour, top coat, chip resistant with a gel shine finish.

This is basically the closest to gel nail polishes you can get, without the hassle of getting them nails done at a salon. Additionally, the brush used for this range have an 800-bristle count, with a shorter brush length and more precision to pick up the polishes. I didn’t know that there was a technology behind the brushes for the polishes! This goes to show how much research have been done for these products.

Having heard so much about the product, I was pretty excited to have a chance to try the latest collection from the  Sally Hansen’s Complete Salon Manicure range, their Spring collection. Since I had a wedding dinner to attend that night, I picked a sweet pink shade called Aflorable. To complete the look, I had a nail art done on one of the nails as well. Here’s how it looks like.

After getting our nails done, it was time for the scrumptious lunch buffet spread by Closer Kitchen & Espresso Bar! I love the ambiance and the feel of Closer Kitchen & Espresso Bar, it had a laid back modern feel to it. Not to mention that there was plenty of light filling in the cafe making it just the perfect place to take pictures!

Throughout the food spread, you’ll find all the polishes of the Complete Salon Manicure Collection matched to the colours of what the food is. Like the dragon fruit yogurt was purple in colour, there were bottles in the purple violet shades placed right next to them. It was so gorgeous! Kudos to the organizers behind the Sally Hansen’s Mother's Day Spring Tea & Pampering Party, every single little detail was thought of! There were fresh flowers all around the cafe too, matching the Spring theme of the party.

You can see how cute some of food were presented in; there were salads in mini glass with yogurt and latte in a jar. Yums! The presentation of the food, made it all the more appetizing. I took a plenty other more pictures from the party, with my mom and the blogger friends there which I have not seen for the longest time! It was so good to be able to see them again and catch up on our lives. Enjoy the pictures!

Since the theme was spring, my sister Clarrisha suggested I wear this gorgeous chiffon floral dress. As it happens, I also have a long dress with a similar print but different design. So I asked my Mom to wear the same as well and ta-da! Our dresses matches one another, the sweetest ever! Boy, am I blessed to be able to wear matching outfit with my Mom.

So, I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all mothers out there a very belated Happy Mother’s Day! Mother's Day should be celebrated everyday of our lives, not just on a decorated day in May. Honor your mom each day for appreciate them for bringing us into this world and blessing us all with the unconditional love Mothers can give to us. :)

xoxo,
till next time.

Out & About: Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge 2015

Already in its fourth year running, the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge 2015 is a multi-disciplinary talent recruitment competition, with participants coming from up to 14 different countries including Malaysia. This year saw more than 23,000 applications received from various participating countries. Campus level competitions were held at 27 Universities across the region, with over 1,700 Challengers in total! If I was still studying in my campus, I would have taken the opportunity to participate in this challenge. :)

Similarly in every year’s competition, there would be a final challenge to be completed. For this year’s edition, 60 finalists from all across the world battled it out in Bukit Bintang where they were tasked to sell ‘happiness’ to members of the public – with each team designing and creating their business strategy for success. The teams are judged on how much money they manage to raise, which will then be donated to a charity of their choice. Hence it was only apt that the final challenge was called the Seasons of Smiles.

For the final challenge, the teams each set up a booth around Bukit Bintang, and ‘sold’ various activities and products to members of the public, with the theme being ‘happiness’. With offerings ranging from makeover sessions to personalised magazine cover photoshoots, each team attempted to make their customers days a little happier while raising money for a good cause.

Here are some of the pictures I taken at the Seasons of Smiles campaign, where I managed to try out some of the activities held by each respective teams in the booths.

Of all the booths I visited, I really liked this one booth which got the theme supermarket for their case study and they came up with the game concept of shopping by estimating the groceries items be within a certain amount.

It was rather hilarious because  Fish and I spent quite some time trying to estimate how much each item was. The price range we were given was within RM49 to RM51. This experience gave us a glimpse of how we both would have been next time when we turn into aunties doing their grocery shopping. I'm amazed with the Challenger who had to put up with us both, it was hilarious!

Another interesting booth was this booth which had an automatic hot-dog vending machine. Since I have mad love for sausages, I decided to give this a try. It was an interesting experience, although I suspect there was someone behind the machine dispensing the hot dogs.
