Can I tell you something?

After crying over spilled milk as what Kah Wai has pointed out yesterday, I felt much better after a long sleep. If you didn’t understand why I cried (when I have friends who also failed but they didn’t cry), it’s probably because the last few days prior to the mock exams I really really did study. Especially for Law, I studied. Sighs. And yet I failed. The worst part of this whole thing is I don’t know where I went wrong. If I can study so much and still failed, how am I going to pass the final. Where the hell did I go wrong? That burning question I asked myself constantly yesterday. My parents asked. All I could say was I don’t know.

Friends tell me, “Oh, now you have the motivation to study already.” Guess what. I don’t. After falling so hard, after breaking yourself from falling, it’s so tough to get back up. From where I was last time, up on the hill; I liked it there. Now that, I’m at the bottom of it; it feels like starting all the shit over except this time I don’t have a map at all. I am supposed to hike back up there. And it’s so tiring; you can’t imagine doing it all over again. (Haha, it looks like I’m writing about a break up.)

That is how I felt yesterday, it’s very hard for me. It is. You have no idea, you really don’t.

Failure; my middle name.

I don’t know how to say it. I failed both my mock exams with the same marks; 52. I can’t stop my tears since. I know it’s only just a mock exam but I am disappointed in myself. What frustrates me more, is that I don’t know what when wrong. I studied. I bloody studied. Guess it’s not enough.

Pinkifying Life.

IMG_3115

Nice shot, eh? :) I was in my back garden when I saw this pretty pink flower blooming. I have almost never seen this flower bloom in such a rich color; I knew I had to take a picture of it to show the world.

Anyway, today wasn’t any better compared to yesterday. Actually in fact, today is worse. From 8 am to 4 pm, all I did was one chapter of Business Finance and even then, it didn’t settle in my brain. Sighs. I’m doing much better with Law. I’ve always liked reading Law anyway.

Think I’m going to shower now. Will be staying up late too.

How I wish they were my best friends. :)

Utterly Boring.

Today is downright boring boring boring. I woke up. I studied. I wasted my time. I napped. I studied. I texted. I played Farm Frenzy. I Facebook-ed. I missed you. I bugged you. I’m waiting for your call.

The reason why I’m studying that hard is because I have two impending mock exams this Saturday. Sighs. Today I only managed 3 chapters of the 24 chapters. Life is ah-mazing. I want to see how I’ll make history repeat.

When you study, you tend to get hungry really fast. Oh, yea. I need food.

Ramadhan Buffet at San Fran.

San Francisco Steak House

page

page1

Over the weekend, I was at San Francisco Steakhouse for their Ramadhan buffet. Contrary to the name, the food served there were mostly western food. When my dad first told me we were having dinner at San Fran, I was “Oh, I’m sure the food there would be good.” And guess what, it was very much below average; simply because their famed steaks served was just too rare, at least not to my liking. I like mine well done. I probably could have requested them to cook again but after eating a few rather rare steaks, I just lost the appetite for more steaks.

Well, they do have other side dishes like boiled crabs (which would taste really good if it was really fresh but it wasn’t), hams, salads, mussels and prawns. All these are like the cold dishes. And oh, the steaks were cold too.

The only hot foods there were their Minestrone soup which was no doubt good and also their Carbonara spaghetti was super cheesy and nice.

So yes. If you’re considering on going there for their Ramadhan buffet, please do yourself a favour and don’t go there (at least not to the one in Jaya Square, I’m not sure how are the others).

PS – Customer’s service there is good, but surely you won’t want to go there just because of their staffs.

Happy 18th Burfday, Liang Bin!

page

Oh, boy. We celebrated Liang Bin’s birthday today in class. There was a slight hitch in the plan because of someone *cough cough, you know who you are* but well, in the end we still managed to carry on (though it wasn’t the original plan).

Do you see what I see? Hahaha. Celia, CJ and me went shopping for his gifts and we bought that too. In case you don’t know what that is it’s *ahem G ahem String*. :)

Ernst & Young Firm Visit

page3

page2

EY, 2nd firm visit. Wow.

The first impression makes a lot of difference and the HR people at EY certainly know how to do just that. Compared to the first site visit, the talk this time was let’s just say it’s more entertaining. Those kind that you’ll actually listen to. And the fact that they actually asked their working ICAEW students to come and share with us their experiences was something that we can really relate to as we should be in their position (when we’re doing the work based learning).

That will be all from me as Teddy is asking me to study.

*yawns*

I’m so so tired. You cannot imagine in what state I am now. I look really hung over and god forbids, I have body aches all over me. I wonder why. My hair is in a mess; I blame myself for sleeping with my hair wet. I have to get dressed in formal wear soon simply because there is an office visit to Ernst and Young later. Hmm, yesterday…. was fun though very very unexpected. Like OMG, I did that? Haha, yea.
Oh, well. What is done is done already. Can’t change the past now, can we?
Portraits

page1
Pictures of my brother were taken when we were in the car, and he started fooling around.. laughing like really cute-ish. So, I grabbed my camera but I was too slow. He started posing then, which essentially lost the natural feel I was looking for in the pictures. That explains the top picture anyway. And that is me on the bottom right side. (duh) It was a picture taken to show Cheok how to take smile. :)

Looking through a kaleidoscope.

page1

Ever tried looking through one? Mine is really old, I don’t even recall having a kaleidoscope. It’s a bit dusty inside and on the outside; there are traces of old newspaper and wrapping paper. I ought to rewrap the kaleidoscope. These things are priceless. So are you. Looking through one, it feels like an entirely different world. With every turn of the kaleidoscope, a whole new colorful design appears. It’s just the same with life. With every step you take, something beautiful awaits you.

Life has been utterly busy for me. I have two mock examinations next Saturday, which by when I have to finish studying all 24 chapters in one week time. It’s going to be a tough feat, let’s hope I’ll pass both the papers.

These help me get through my morning classes without falling asleep. Much love to Teddy who got it for me. :D

I have pretty much turned into a nail polish freak these days. I am basically really obsessed with my nails. I buff them, shape them, apply base coat, then 3 layers of nail polish and the final coat. I dip my nails into icy cold water. But hey, it looks awesome; don’t you think? Albeit the fact that it is plain. I’m not that into patterns.

When things were better?

Or, were they always this bad but we just never realized them?

Did we just shoved things aside?

Where are you?

T.T – This used to mean something.

I wonder if they still do.

14th August 2010

I couldn’t think of an appropriate title simple because I did a lot of things on that day. I wanted to put ‘Super Awesome Day’ as the title but then I realized I haven’t been abusing the word a lot lately. But it’s only because these days are really awesome anyway. You can’t blame me for having awesome days, can you? See this is what I mean by abusing the word ‘awesome’.

Business Finance Test

I went to college rather early to study before the test, simple because I didn’t finish studying all 10 chapters; just like all the other previous tests for other subjects too. I do thank God for being able to pass all the tests with pretty okay results too. Anyway, I came in rather late into the computer room only to see my classmates Facebook-ing (updating statuses and liking oureach other statuses). The test was supposed to be loaded into the eLearn system at 9 am but until nearly 10 something, there still wasn’t any test. Hmm. There was another system error last week when we took our Law Progress Test; there wasn’t any results.

So, anyway after that; we were given the hard copy of the paper. The questions were not so bad, passable though I did have some questions that was familiar to me but I couldn’t answer because I didn’t read the chapters.

MOFEW, at Mid Valley

brandz-report-2009-complete-report(1)[1].pdf

I have always been rather skeptical about buying clothes online despite how nice the pictures look like. Let’s face it; (although) I’m just an amateur photographer, even I know edited pictures may look nothing like the real thing. Oh, yes. That is what Photoshop can do. So, I thought what an opportunity this will be. Only to be disappointed by the obvious lack of space between the vendors; seeing the fact that it was held in the Exhibition Center. It wasn’t as crowded because I went there around 12ish. But even then, I found it difficult to see the items sold at each shop. The place in the shop could fit only like 2-3 people. You can say that I was put off by the lack of space. I think these things are better held in open spaces. Like a bazaar, which I have yet to go to one.

Lunch at McDonalds

You could probably say that I’m slow in trying out the new burger in McDonalds; but hey at least I did try it even if it did take me some time to do it. There wasn’t that much hype about it on TV, I actually don’t recall any adverts. But I heard from Cheok, who mentioned that it was good.

IMG_2977

IMG_2979

Oh, yea. It was so so good. When I was eating the burger, I was like ‘No way, am I eating a McDonald’s burger.’ So, yes, it tastes that good. Go try now!

Tekken, the movie

I have the game on my PSP; the reason why I play that game is only because that is the only game I have on my PSP. Pathetic, I know. But I’m not much of a gamer anyway. So, I wanted to watch the movie mainly cause I played the game and I wanted to see the characters like in real life.

Hahaha, I know it’s a battle-ish show. So not suitable for me, but the action scenes are actually pretty good. The moves were slick, quite entertaining. (Mind you, I am not sadistic.) Some parts were a teeny weeny bit mundane. But nevertheless, I did enjoy the show. And oh, I did regret not playing the story mode on PSP. The lead is actually quite cute.

2nd Lunch at Nando’s

I know this technically meant that I ate twice in a less than 6 hours. Well, so what. I break loose on other day, I’ll balance it on another day. Hmm, I don’t have much to say here except that the chicken in Nando’s doesn’t taste so good as it used to. Maybe last time when I was a kid, everything just tastes so good. Not now, obviously.

Levi’s Fit Festival

page

Kind of hard to believe that both the girls in the picture is the same person, huh? Haha. Anyway, when we were walking around the mall, I saw the Levi’s Fit Festival where they have their sales girls measuring you and finding your perfect jeans size; in my case I’m size 25. Levi’s came out with a new range which is the Curve ID range. Super skin tight jeans. Really nice cutting at a price of RM 229. You get a voucher too if you tried on their jeans. Too bad I couldn’t get it. My mom will start nagging on how many clothes I already have at home and how in other parts of the world children are freezing without clothes. So yea. I’ll get them one day.

So sorry, peeps.

Note: I’m sorry for ditching this blog for the past few weeks. This is so unusual of me to do things like that considering how often I used to blog. Anyway, I was busy from the time I turned 18, on 30th July till now. I had outings and exams and studies, which could probably summed up the reasons why I went on a unannounced hiatus. So anyway, I’ll be back to blogging; maybe not as often as I used. But don’t worry I’ll find and make time to blog.

The 99 roses.

IMG_2921

Girl: Which is the memorable part for you on 31st July?

Boy: Hmm, actually. There wasn’t any.

Girl: ….

Boy: Because the most memorable part for me was folding the 99 roses for you. When I miss you, I’d fold the roses. When I wasn’t talking or texting you, I’d fold the roses.
