Fashion: Faux Croc Skin Clutch

Faux Croc Skin Clutch | Kitschen

Purple Rose Ring | Kiosk in Sunway Pyramid

Neon Pink Polish | Elianto

This is my very first clutch that I have ever bought, I can still remember how I came across it. I was shopping in Kitschen; if you’re familiar with Kitschen, you’ll know that they basically sell clothes with a little bit of accessories, sometimes bags too. But most of the time, apart from their clothes, nothing else there interests me.

So there, I was browsing and I just happened to glance up on of their shelves. And sitting pretty, way way way up (so high, it was beyond my reach) was this clutch. I have never seen such a different faux skin clutch and I knew I had to have it. :D It is really a very versatile piece, one that I could easily pair up with my outfits. Only thing, is that sometimes it’s too small for me and also, the sides are already peeling off. Meh.

Fashion: Mad love for my platform boots.

IMG_3253colourPlatform Boots | Bought online

When I first saw Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots from lookbook.nu, I really really wanted a pair. It was almost like the perfect shoes any girl could ever dream of. Because it’s platform, it gives me the extra height (it’s about 4.5inch) I need but it doesn’t hurt my feet, super comfy that I could wear it all day long. Now, I wouldn’t say the same for my 4-inch booties. And boots are so versatile, you can wear it with almost everything. :D

I didn’t actually want to do a post just on the boots but I still haven’t been able to figure out a way to shoot a complete outfit shots by myself yet. I’m still figuring that out, and it appears that featured shots were better than my head-to-toe one.

Sorry for the awkward smile, haha. I wouldn’t count this as a complete, proper outfit post because I had actually shot this picture as a behind the scenes photo for a contest. I ended up not using it, so I thought of posting it here. :) Before I end this post, I would like to say that I’m also in love with my petticoat skirt, it’s super gorgeous with 6 layers of chiffon! Fluffy much. :D Shall do outfit post on that soon.

Out & About: Food Foundry, Section 17

IMG_1695

I have heard of Food Foundry from my friends who was tweeting about it; one mentioned that she was craving for their mille crepe cake and another said it was a rather pretty place and the toilet were nice. Haha, I know it was something odd to say about a restaurant but it was those tweets that made me paid Food Foundry a visit. I was actually looking for a place to kill some time before I headed out to another event with a friend and hence, I decided to drop by since it was around PJ.

Since Food Foundry was famed for their mille crepe I decided I should give that a try. I didn’t order anything else since I’ll be having dinner pretty soon. My friend, and I ordered some iced tea to go along with the cake; lemon and peach respectively. So, how did I find the cake? I’ll be completely honest and say that it was a bit disappointing. From what I’ve heard, the crepe cake was really delicious and needless to say I had higher expectations from it. It even looked pretty good, but after tasting it, I just went, “Is that all?”. Took another bite and hands down, Nadeje mille crepe was way better than this. Haha.

This was where we sat, I found the place rather cosy but it isn’t comfortable. The cushion is too thin and feels a bit too weird to sit on. Also, it was rather warm there. There isn’t any air conditioning at where I sat. But it was actually rather windy outside, around 4pm ish. No idea why it was warm inside, probably because there was partitions blocking the wind?

IMG_1700Outfit of the Day :) Will try to do more outfit shots from now on.

This is the partition I meant, and coincidentally the asymmetrical tube dress I wore was almost the similar shade as the partition. Haha, my friend noticed that and told me when this picture was taken. And, below you’ll find more pictures of the place. The restaurant consist of two shop-lots, the picture with the squirrel is the second one and the picture after that is the main one, as you can see, the cakes are on display there.

IMG_1685Meet the awkwardly placed sofa in the second shop-lot.

IMG_1679This is the interior of the first shop-lot. Looks cosy and nice, right?

IMG_1689And me with a camho shot, this is at the mirror outside the toilets.

Oh, btw, I didn’t find the toilets that nice. Haha, but I have to admit it is old school. And no, I didn’t take any picture of the toilet. Heh, felt it’ll be a bit too extreme to do that.

IMG_1675Of the whole restaurant, I love this decoration the most. It’s so pretty, clean and simple. :)

Of course, I couldn’t resist a full body shot here. Haha. I pity my friend though, I was so hard to shoot. This wasn’t posed though, I was probably laughing at my friend’s exasperation in getting that one shot that I’ll be satisfied. And that spontaneous moment was captured lovely in this. Thank you, for you that. :)

Note: This post is not a food review, simply because I don’t like to think of it as one. But I’d rather like to label it as Out & About, where I’ll talk more about the place itself than the food. :)

It was a Monday when I wore this; I call this my lazy knitted pullover. I usually dress lazily on Monday if I have the blues, which I usually will especially when my classes begin at 8am. It such a pain to get out of the comfy bed, and into the freezing rooms of the college. It is on days like these that I won’t give a damn about what I wear, and hence, I am forever indebted for basics clothes that I can wear repeatedly, and not look like I haven’t washed my clothes since forever. But, basics on its own can get dull and boring so, there is nothing like throwing in a simple uber comfy knitwear to look like that you actually bothered dressing up.

It was a Monday, and I was feeling blue especially since, I have early class of Business Strategy. There was nothing I longed for, than to stay in bed and read The Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami. Actually, that is what I would do everyday if I could. But ah, how unrealistic. Well, I managed to get myself out of bed, eventually and got dressed in one of my most comfy midi dress; this was the next best thing after the bed. Heh. I love how the dress is a seeming simple tank dress, but the design of the back is a simple cut-out design. And the moment I was back home, I jumped to bed and got lost in the book. Just blissful. :)

If you have seen me around enough, you’ll realise that I'm mostly in a red black outfit combination. It’s becoming a staple for me to wear that colour combination when I’m feeling lazy. Or when I simply cannot decide what to wear. It is so easy, because I either wear a black top with red jeans or the other way around. Or I could put on a black dress and pair it with a red bag. (Currently, I’m loving my red envelope clutch. I would say it is currently my basic grab-to-go bag when I’m in a rush.)

Meet my latest satin asymmetrical dress, that I am absolutely in love with now. It’s a mullet dipped hemline at the back and a tulip hemline for the front. It sounds gorgeous, I know but it is a bit hard to imagine. One day, I’ll try to get a full shot of the dress. (I actually wanted to try to get shots of the dress today, but my favourite ‘photographer’ said he couldn’t capture the flow of the dress that I wanted because he only brought his portrait lens. Heh. And he is a close friend of mine actually, not actually my photographer.)

IMG_2849

When I first received this dress, I had a love-hate thing for it. Love because it had an asymmetrical design. Hate because it was loose on me and the dress didn’t flow in the way I wanted it to be. It’s loose because the top part of the dress is similar to a tank top but it isn’t fitted. I’m petite enough, hence I need a belt to pull off the dress. Also, when you walk, the dress do flow but it also balloons up. That looked kind of ridiculous. I wish I could snap of picture of that. Haha.
