Eat: Kembali Kitchen’s Christmas Menu, Best Western Premier Dua Sentral

Christmas! is less than two weeks away, I cannot imagine anybody who is not excited by that. There’s so much fun in celebrating Christmas and it only gets better when you celebrate festivity like this with food, more glorious food! I was invited to the sample the Christmas Menu at Kembali Kitchen, in the Best Western Premier Hotel. The Christmas menu is a buffet style, so I’ll be posting pictures of the buffet dishes and a brief review on the overall experience.

So let's begin!

You can start things off with fresh seafood! They have fresh mussels, crabs and prawns served on ice. :) Did I mention that they also have sashimi with a choice of salmon and butterfish. Other than those, they have appetizers like Leek and Smoked Chicken Salad with Orange-Mustard Dressing, Insalata Mexicana with Goat Cheese, Smoked Salmon & Omelette on Cucumber Ring (as pictured), Smoked Duck Breast with Green Beans and Cherry Tomatoes (the smoked duck is absolutely amazing! I couldn't get enough of it), Thai Chicken Salad with Mango and other salads. There was about 6 different types of salads/appetizers, all looking so delish I couldn't decide which to eat.

And moving on to the mains, you'll find a menu which consist of both Western and Asian dishes, such as Roasted Rack of Lamb and Eggplant Caviar with Tamarind Sauce, Filler Beef Sauce with Roasted Apples on Sour Cream-Coriander Sauce (you have to try this, I love the mash of sweetness from the apples and the salty bits from the beef and the sauce), Stir Fried Beef with Spring Onion and Ginger, Baked Snapper with Green Tea Noodles, Stir Fried Beef with Spring Onion and Ginger.

Some of the Asian food lovers, would be happy to know that there are Malaysian delights served too such as the Udang Goreng Berempah, Wok Fried Crabs with Tomato & Spices Malay and Deep Fried Fish with Sweet Chili.

And what is a good hearty meal without desserts? :) Here in Kembali Kitchen, the desserts have Christmas written all over it. Just seeing them was enough to make me feel all mushy inside, because it's Christmas and Christmas is here. They have Mini Minced Pies, Yule Log, Assorted Christmas French Pastries and  Coconut and Vanilla Cream Brûlée. Before you ask where the traditional favorites are, well they do have that as well; Yule Log Cake, Minced Pie, Apple-Cinnamon Pie with Raisins and Nuts, Traditional English Fruit Cake, Christmas Plum Pudding. 

Are you excited for Christmas yet? I know I am for sure, and if you'd like to experience the Christmas Menu at Kembali Kitchen, you can do so on the 24 December 2013. This Christmas menu is a one day special, served only on the eve of Christmas for RM98 nett (adult) and RM49 nett (child & senior citizen).

Did I mention that they'll be carollers will be performing those well-loved Christmas carols at the lobby of the hotel and in the restaurant too?
