Snaps: CNY Dinner at The Royal Flush, Oasis Square

Before the Chinese New Year ended, I was invited by the awesome peeps at HungryGoWhere Malaysia for their Chinese New Year dinner at the The Royal Flush. I have heard about the place, about a year ago when they first opened and how gorgeous the place was complete with a moat-like feature too.

True enough, I wasn’t disappointed when I reached the restaurant. It was exactly like how I imagined it to be, rather grand and posh. The restaurant is actually located in Oasis Square, where the place itself is very gorgeous with a water feature in between two rows of restaurant. If you have been to SetiaWalk, it is something like that although I think SetiaWalk is prettier, with a larger space too.

For this post, I will not be talking about the food (this is not a food review post). I titled my post as [Snaps] so as to differentiate a photo heavy posts versus a food review or any other type of posts. You can think about this post as a #foodporn post. ;)

Of all the soups that I have ever drank in my life (especially in Chinese restaurants), this was the the sweetest clear soup I have ever tasted. It’s hard to describe how the soup tasted like, but it was so good, that I could have 10 bowls of it in one go and I would come back just for this and this only.

| Steamed Kampung Chicken with Dried Scallops |

| Steamed Dragon Garoupa Fish with Superior Soy Sauce |

 | Fried Prawns with Batter Sauce |

| Sea-cucumber Seasonal Vegetables with Abalone Sauce |

| Lotus Leaf Waxed Meat Rice |

| Osmanthus Jelly Cake |

And that’s all we had for the night. The service there was superb with the “captain” explaining each dishes and answering any queries we had, regarding the food. They even had the chef drop by to have a quick chat with us.

It is one of the perfect end to the Chinese New Year. :) Thank you once again HungryGoWhere Malaysia! By the way, I will be working on my pictures from the CNY holidays and I’m hoping to post them up soon. Do look out for that!

till next time,
xoxo

    1. Hello! I thought the food was pretty okay, but nothing memorable except for their soup. Haha, I have to admit it is quite pricey. I would still love the no frills chinese places.

    1. I love the whole Oasis Square, it's just so so pretty! The food was pretty nice, but the ambiance of the place wins over the food. :)
