Ever since I was little, I’d always been fascinated with beauty pagents. For starters, the beautiful ladies of these pagents are always dressed so pretty, exuding grace and elegance that a 9-years-old me wished to be when I grow up. Fast forward to today, I’m no beauty queen but these pagents fascinate me still! Recently, Miss World Prestige International Pageant 2017 Grand Final Gala Dinner was held at Sunway Resort Hotel Grand ballroom, where Ms Kimberley Claire (Contestant No. 6) was crowned as the grand winner followed by Ms Gharam (Contestant No. 2) and Ms Valerie Lau (Contestant No. 5).
This year’s theme of “Dare To Dream, Create A Wonderful Journey Of Life” aimed to encourage ladies to embrace their dreams and showcase their inner talent. But it is through training and practice, that a woman who starts out similar like a stone …. then becomes a shining diamond! What matters more is how one endure and preserve through this journey to purse their passion! Just like the ladies of the Miss World Prestige International Pageant 2017 whom eventually gained experience and recognition through this platform provided by World Prestige International (WPI).
In addition to the celebration of beauty, grace and elegance of the ladies, World Prestige International (WPI) have taken the initiative to also give back to the society by donating to the following beneficiaries — Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Insan Wilayah KL, Berniece Care Service, Pusat Jagaan Titian Kaseh, Tong Sim Senior Citizens Care Centre, Rumah Sayangan, Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Victory Malaysia, Persatuan Insan Istimewa Cheras Selangor, Yayasan Sunbeams Home. Rumah Warga Emas Berniece and Pertubuhan Penganut Bodhiksetra Vihara. The total donation to these houses amounted to a whooping amount of RM100,000 … a sizeable amount indeed!

Seeing these gorgeous ladies strut down the stage with such confidence makes me wished I had the courage to join one. I’ve only ever seen it on the television and wished I could experience it myself! But oh wells, for now I will just enjoy the pictures and reading articles about it to satiate my desire of ever joining one. Maybe, just maybe one day I’ll take that leap and go for the audition!
